The Township's affordable housing activities are guided by the Plainsboro Township Housing Agency and administered by the Plainsboro Non-Profit Housing Corporation.

Low and moderate-income housing within the Township is in compliance with the New Jersey Fair Housing Act and the regulations of the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing (COAH). Plainsboro provides low and moderate-income housing units for both ownership and rental.
