Recycling & Conversation Center

 

Summer hours for the conservation center will be

Monday and Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

and

Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Recycling and Conservation Center is open to Plainsboro residents only. Driver's license required as proof of residency. Use the Recycling & Conservation Center off Grovers Mill Road, abiding by the following procedures, for the following items only:

  • Auto Batteries: Close cells and keep intact, and see attendant for unloading. No flashlight, household batteries, or other auto parts accepted.
  • Tires: No rims.
  • Motor Oil, Anti-Freeze: Retain container for disposal. Resident's signature and inspection by attendant required. No paint thinner, gasoline, or other materials accepted.
  • Engine Oil Filters: See attendant for proper recycling.
  • Yard Waste: Grass Clippings, weeds, leaves, tree limbs, and brush accepted. Exclusions: logs

Mulch & wood chips are free to residents as available. All other recyclables are handled in curbside program. These items will no longer be accepted at the Drop-Off Center. Also, see "Bulk Waste Days."

Note: Recyclable items contaminated with non-recyclable material in Conservation Center containers are subject to stiff penalties; therefore, all items not conforming will be rejected. Dumping gabage and recyclables outside the Center gate after hours is illegal; violators will be prosecuted.
