2014 LENAPE DAY CAMP

Full season summer programs are offered in four consecutive two-week sessions.

Session I   6/23 - 7/3 (no program 7/4)  Session III   7/21 - 8/1

Session II   7/7 - 7/18                               Session IV   8/4-8/15                    

Ages: Boys and Girls in Upcoming Grades 1 - 6

Location: Community Middle School

Time: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm (Pre & Post Camp are available for an additional fee and must be arranged by contacting: West Windsor-Plainsboro Community Education)

Staff: Site Supervisor, certified teachers, and counselors / 1 to 7 ratio

Description: Recreational camp provides a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, multi-cultural games, fitness, science, nature, and swimming. Field trips and special presentations are planned throughout the summer. Swim program is not optional. All campers will participate in a 1/2 hour American Red Cross swim lesson and a 1/2 hour of recreational swim each day, except for field trip days. Registration is for full two-week session. Lenape cannot be combined with other specialty or sport camps offered by the Township.

Fee/Session: $250 by May 15; $280 after May 15

What’s in a name? Lenape, pronounced “Leh-NAH-pay” is the name for the Lenni Lenape or “ordinary people” the original Native American inhabitants of the region.
