PLAINSBORO TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT How do I apply for a Firearms ID card or Permit to Purchase? All firearms application forms as well as the instructions for completing them can be obtained at the Records Bureau window Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 1:00pm. All applicants must be fingerprinted and should contact the Detective Bureau Monday – Friday between 7:30am and 4:00pm. There is a fee of $60.25, which must be paid in the form of a certified check or money order. This fee will be forwarded to the State of New Jersey. Additional fees will apply for an ID card and each permit to purchase and can be paid when picking them up. . Return to Police main FAQ page
