citizens police academy

The Plainsboro Township Police Department is committed to expanding its relationship with our citizens. Past experience has proven that community assistance plays a major role in crime solving partnerships. The Plainsboro Township Citizens Police Academy was launched to help facilitate this relationship.

The program seeks to educate, exchange ideas and familiarize citizens with primary law enforcement operations and training. It covers various topics such as: investigations and forensics, traffic safety and enforcement, domestic violence, crime prevention, firearms, DWI enforcement, terrorism, police and community relations.

While the academy is not intended to certify a civilian as a police officer, it will better inform citizens about their Police Department. Our goal is to create a better quality of life for citizens, visitors and guests.

Plainsboro Township Police Department is now accepting applications for the next term of its semi-annual citizens police academy. You may download the application and send or deliver it to the address listed or drop by the police department to pick up a copy at the Dispatcher Desk. There is no cost for this program.

For more information, please contact the C.O.R.E. division at (609) 799-2333.
