Family Camp Out: June 23; Come out for the first summer blast outdoor movie “Strange World” and stay overnight for our family camp out! Tent set up begins at 5:00 pm, movie will begin at dusk, enjoy campfires and smores at dark, and sleep under the stars on the municipal complex lawn! Discovering the Museum World: An Adventure Through History! (Ages 6-10): Museum Summer Camp; 5 days; August 21-25 from 1:00-5:00 P.M. ($30.00 Resident & Non-Resident) This new summer camp at the museum will introduce campers to the museum world through immersive and fun activities such as conducting an archaeological dig, conserving museum artifacts, creating museum exhibits, conducting research and more. Campers will gain new experiences through creative and hands-on activities and crafts. Grant funding has reduced this summer camp program rate from $110 to $30! Summer Museum Teen Internships (Ages 11-18): June 26-September 3 (No fee for interns) Interns commit to working 6 hours per week for 4-10 weeks on an individual or group project. Interns can choose from a variety of project topics related to the museum including archives, research, exhibits, marketing and programs. Dancing and Desert (Ages 18+): June 10 ($10 resident, $12 non-resident) Join us as we once again move outside at the Preserve for a ballroom dancing lesson, along with coffee and decadent dessert. We will be outdoors on the deck, so please dress appropriately. Please come with a partner. No registration is necessary, bring payment to the event.
