Come spend your winter break with Plainsboro Recreation! We are offering a variety of free and low-cost programs for the whole family during the last 2 weeks of December and early January. 

Family Movie Night
Thursday, December 26^th from 6:00-8:30pm. Free Program open to all ages! Come spend a winter evening with us to watch Frozen 2! Snacks will be provided. Adults must be registered and be present with their child/children.

Yosi's Friends Around the World Concert
Friday, December 27^th from 11:00-11:50 am. Free Program open to all ages! This fun concert introduces your child to a multicultural, interactive, and educational concert filled with songs, humor, dances, and musical instruments from around the world! Open to Plainsboro and West Windsor Residents only.

Winter Break Camp Day
Monday, December 30^th from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Ages 5-11, $15.00 registration.
Join our Summer Plainsboro Rec Camp teachers for a day of activities. Play fitness games, participate in a science experiment, and make a craft in our art class. All activities are typical of our summer camp. Come see what Summer Camp 2025 will be like! Bring your own lunch is encouraged, snacks will be served.

 Family Bus Trip - American Dream Mall
Thursday, January 2^nd. Bus will depart from Plainsboro Municipal Complex @ 9:00 am and leave East Rutherford @ 7:00 pm. ($15.00 Resident & $20.00 Non-Resident). Open to all ages. Families can enjoy a day of play at the American Dream Mall! Shop, dine, and play the day away at one of New Jersey’s largest retail and entertainment complexes. Mall is free to enter. Minimal charge for a bus seat. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own attraction tickets from American Dream's website or in person once we arrive.

We’ve also added a new winter program, run by the Girl Scouts working towards their silver award!

Mind & Body Armor: Complete Self-Defense Training
Saturdays, January 11 – March 15 from 11:45am – 1:00pm. Ages 7-12, $15 residents, $30 non-residents beginning 12/16. This program will educate kids about concepts of Social-emotional skills, Emotional self-defense techniques, Building Self-esteem & Bullying prevention, Physical safety techniques, Physical Self – Defense. The sessions will be taught through age-appropriate activities, games and crafts to keep the kids engaged.

Holiday Wishes (Flyer Attached)
Holiday Wishes is a community drive to aid local families facing financial hardship. Select a “wish” from one of our community giving trees at one of the following locations: Recreation & Cultural Center, Municipal Building, Preserve and Public Library. Wrapped gifts must be received by December 17th. All gifts must be new. Accepted at the Recreation & Cultural Center (Only)
Monday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm.; Tues. & Thurs. 8:30am –7:45pm. Cash donations will be used to supplement donated gifts, where needed. Unused cash donations will benefit the food pantry.
