Spring registration opens on Monday, March 10th (March 17th for non-residents). Spring is just around the corner, and so is registration for our recreation classes! 🌷 It's almost time to sign up and bloom into something new! The below programs will open for registration on Monday, March 10th!
Family Movie Day (All Ages): Thursday, April 17th from 1:00-3:00pm. This program is free. Come spend a spring afternoon with us to watch Madagascar! Snacks will be provided. Eyes of the Wild Mammal Show (All Ages): Friday, April 18th from 12:00-1:00 am. Free Program open to all ages! Mammals from around the world will be featured in this program. Behaviors, habitats, adaptations, survival strategies and relationships with humans will be introduced. This program focuses on behavior and adaptation using the life stories of each unique animal, their often humorous personalities, fun facts, anecdotes and animal eye-views as instruction. Spring Break Camp Day (Ages 5-11): Tuesday, April 15 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. ($15.00 registration). Join our Summer Plainsboro Rec Camp teachers for a day of activities. Play fitness games, participate in a science experiment, and make a craft in our art class. All activities are typical of our summer camp. Come see what Summer Camp 2025 will be like! Family Bus Trip – Hershey Park! (All Ages): Saturday, April 19th. Bus will depart from Plainsboro Municipal Complex @ 8:00 am and leave Hershey Park @ 7:00 pm. ($15.00 Resident & $20.00 Non-Resident). Families can enjoy a day of play at Hershey Park! Enjoy rides and entertainment in the Park, tour Hershey's Chocolate World, visit ZooAmerica, hop on Hershey Trolley Works, or take a shuttle bus to The Hershey Story, The Museum on Chocolate Avenue. Something for everyone! Minimal charge for a bus seat. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own tickets from Hershey's website or in person once we arrive. Children under age 3 are not required to pay for a seat on the bus (but must sit on their parent’s lap) nor a ticket to get into the park. All other family members must register and pay for a seat on the bus. Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Class (Ages 10-16): Wednesday, April 16 from 9:00am-4:00pm. Registration is $120. STEM principles relating to Forensics and solving Crime Scenes are explored in our Level I Forensics Class. The presentation, labs and exercises will cover the following topics: Take and identify and collect fingerprints, create & examine blood spatter patterns, cast footprints, DNA, Crime Scene processing…. Current or former law enforcement Detectives will be teaching this class. Intro to Ballet 1 – SEEKING INTEREST (Ages 5-6): Wednesdays, starting April 2 and ends May 7 from 11:45am-12:30pm. (Residents $65 and non-residents $72)

Children will have an introduction to ballet in this class and will learn basic positions and movements. Ballet helps develop strong motor skills, coordination, discipline, and confidence, while fostering creativity and a love for movement. Children should wear comfortable clothing, ballet shoes or socks with grips on the bottom. This program is in partnership with The Dance Corner.
Pre-Ballet and Creative Movement – SEEKING INTEREST (Ages 3-4): Wednesdays, starting April 2 and ends May 7 from 11:00am-11:45am. (Residents $65 and non-residents $72)

Little ones can experience their first dance class with this program which will focus on basic dance fundamentals and allow students the opportunity to explore their creative ability. Children should wear comfortable clothing, ballet shoes or socks with grips on the bottom. Parents are asked to wait outside in the lobby, lounge or Arts & Enrichment area during class so children are not distracted. This program is in partnership with The Dance Corner.
Tumble Tots (3-5): Program dates are Saturdays, starting April 5 and ends June 7 from 11:00am-11:40am. (Residents $20 and non-residents $28). Little ones will have fun tumbling and jumping their way through this beginner gymnastics class. Children will learn basic gymnastics skills. Fiber Arts Workshop – Felted Landscape (Ages 18+): March 15, 2025 ($50); Students will be shown how to employ felting techniques in order to make their own unique wall artwork landscape using natural wool fibers. No prior art experience is necessary, and all are welcome! Students will get to take their projects home at the end of this class. All materials will be provided for this workshop, aside from a bath towel that participants will need to bring to assist in the creation of their project.
