🍁 New Season, New Classes – Join Us This Fall

Get ready to make this fall your best one yet! Our recreation programs have something for everyone — from toddlers to seniors, and every age in between. Whether you’re looking to stay active, try something new, or spend quality time with friends and family, we’ve got the perfect class for you. Fall registration opens Tuesday 9/2 for residents and Monday 9/8 for non-residents! 

Family Camp Out: 5:00 pm Fri. Sept 12 - 7:00 am Sat. Sept 13; Plainsboro Preserve. Bring your tent and sleeping bags for the Plainsboro Family Camp Out at The Plainsboro Preserve. Enjoy a fun night of activities and camping. Sit around campfires, roast marshmallows, sing songs, and enjoy activities such as a private guided hike around the trails and stargazing through telescopes. Children under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event. Pre-registration is required. All participants need to check in at the environmental education center upon arrival at the event for wristbands and campsite assignments. If you would like to have a campsite next to a particular family, all parties must check-in at the same time at the event. Participants are required to set-up tents on their own. Food is not provided.

Fall Break Movie Day – “The Wild Robot”: (All Ages) Friday November 7 from 1:00-3:00pm. After a shipwreck, an intelligent robot is stranded on an uninhabited island. To survive the harsh surroundings, she bonds with the native animals and cares for an orphaned baby goose. Come spend a fall afternoon with us and watch The Wild Robot! Snacks will be provided. Book Buzz (Ages 7-11): Mondays September 15 – December 1, Residents: $55 & non-residents: $77. This program will focus on building comprehension skills using read- aloud books and stories. Comprehension skills to be addressed include: identifying and analyzing story elements, plot and character development, determining main idea and details, inferencing, and identifying key themes. Family Fun Nights (All Ages): 9/13/25, 10/11/25, 11/08/25 6-8 pm. FREE! Family Fun Nights are back! Get the family together, grab your friends and neighbors, and head over for some fun at the Recreation Center. Enjoy time playing various board games, Bingo, and Wii games! Crafts will be offered and there will be refreshments, and PRIZES! Children must be chaperoned. Registration is appreciated. Winter Break Family Bus Trip – Peddler’s Village (All Ages): Saturday December 21, bus departs Plainsboro Recreation Center at 10:00am and departs Peddler’s Village at 7:00pm. Residents $15, non-residents $20. The village transforms into a winter wonderland, adorned with twinkling lights, holiday displays, and beautifully decorated shop windows. Guests can stroll the cobblestone pathways, enjoy seasonal treats like hot cider and gingerbread, and explore over 60 unique boutiques—perfect for holiday shopping. Visitors will also be able to feast their eyes on the Gingerbread House contest entries, which has been a holiday tradition since 1984! Yum!! On this day, you can also eat brunch with Santa at the Cock’n Bull Restaurant! Foundation Tennis (Plainsboro Park): Ages 18+ Sept. 14-Nov. 2 from 8:00-8:50 am (Resident & Non-resident $216.00) Join this Adult Tennis class to elevate your game, stay active, and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow players. Led by experienced coaches, our Adult Tennis class caters to players of all skill levels, from beginners to those with some experience looking to refine their techniques.
Program Overview:

    • Develop fundamental skills such as stroke mechanics, footwork, and court positioning, whether you're new to the sport or looking to improve.
    • Stay fit and active with dynamic drills and exercises designed to enhance agility, endurance, and overall fitness.
    • Receive a free Dri-Fit Shirt.

Participants must provide their own racket for this class. All other equipment needed will be provided by the USA Sport Group.

Seeking Interest Dreams2Code:  11 Classes;  Sundays;  Sept 28 - Nov 30;  5:30-6:30pm This computer science and coding class covers topics ranging from variables, conditionals and loops to class design and general knowledge pertaining to digital literacy. By the end of 7 weeks, attendees will have constructed a larger-scale coding project (virtual stores, websites, etc.). Instructors are members of Dreams2Code, consisting of silver+ medalist USACO coders, and experts in AP level computer programming. Join this class to keep up with your kids' digital literacy skills!

Seeking Interest: All-Star Abilities Ages 7-12 
Sept. 17-Dec.3 from 4:00-4:45pm (Resident $36 & Non-resident $45) 
This fun special needs program will focus on adaptive multi-sports games and activities. Fundamental and functional movement along with social skills and skill enhancement will be part of our weekly sessions. Class led by a Special Educator/Arts Educator.
