The equipment weighs about 900,000 pounds and is about 20 feet wide by 40 feet long by 17 feet tall. The truck hauling the transformer can only move at about 5 miles per hour as it travels down Dey Road from Route 130 in Cranbury and will be accompanied by six NJ state trooper vehicles. Lighting will be focused on the permanent location of the transformer and will only be turned on while moving it into place. The transformer will be used to power the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory here in Plainsboro.
