On May 9, the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab (PPPL) located in Plainsboro, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Princeton Plasma Innovation Center. The project was largely funded by the U.S. Department of Energy with contributions from Princeton University.
Taking part in the groundbreaking ceremony are, from left: Assemblywoman Tennille McCoy; Plainsboro Township Mayor Peter Cantu; PPPL Vice President David McComas; PPPL Laboratory Director Steve Cowley; Juston Fontaine, Deputy Director for Field Operations of the Department of Energy’s Office of Science; Princeton Site Office Manager Sandy Rogan; and PPPL Chief Operating Officer Tim Meyer.
