The township recently completed construction of a new multi-use recreational area at Community Park. The area has four pickleball courts, a half-court basketball area, walking/ jogging tracks, and benches. Penn Medicine hospital in Plainsboro supported the project by donating 10 state-of-the-art exercise stations and equipment, many of which are wheelchair accessible. “We are very grateful to Penn Medicine for their partnership with Plainsboro and our community to promote health and well-being. The equipment is an excellent addition to this recreational area”, said Mayor Edmund Yates. According to James Demetriades, Chief Executive Officer, Penn Medicine Princeton Health, “We’re proud to support the installation of new fitness stations at Community Park as part of our commitment to helping our neighbors live healthier, more active lives—and to expanding access to wellness resources for everyone in our community.”
Also, at Community Park there is a new children’s playground and renovations are underway at the picnic area adjacent to the dog park. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.
