The Township submitted a grant request to the New Jersey Department of Transportation for road improvements to Plainsboro Road from the area of Community Garden to Walker Gordon Drive, which resulted in a $900,000 grant.
Improvements include the installation of a new underground drainage system, installation and/or removal and replacement of existing curb, if and where necessary, the addition of handicap ramps, striping and other associated work.
“On behalf of the Township Committee we extend our appreciation to Senator Greenstein, Assemblyman DeAngelo and Assemblywoman McCoy for supporting the Township’s grant application,” stated Mayor Peter Cantu.
Once the project design work is completed and work is scheduled to begin, the township will provide road closure notice to the residents.
