Renovations to the picnic area adjacent to the dog park in Community Park are approaching completion. According to the contractor, Challenger Fence Company, the project is approximately 80 percent complete. Improvements include new picnic tables, grills, improved access paths leading to each picnic site, site-wide landscaping and a new handicap accessible parking area.
“We are excited about this new improvement to Community Park," stated Mayor Ed Yates. "With the new children’s playground and new multi-use recreation area recently completed with the assistance of state and county grants, this project offers residents another place to gather in one of our most popular parks” stated Mayor Ed Yates.
