  • A permit may be required if the tent is greater than 900 square feet, or more than 30 feet in any dimension, or if cooking with an open flame under it.

  • Yes. Explain to the inspector that it is not a good time to conduct the inspection and come to a mutually agreeable time that will work for everyone.

  • The inspector will need access to the entire property. A representative may be requested to accompany the inspector to provide access to locked areas. When violations are found, they will be noted and explained. Adequate time will be given to correct the violations before another inspection occurs.

  • Every occupancy is inspected at least once during the calendar year.  Some occupancies require semi-annual or annual fire inspections.
