Household Recycling

The Middlesex County Improvement Authority (MCIA) provides biweekly collection of recyclable material for Plainsboro residents. Residents are required to use the round blue container for commingled all recyclables (cans, bottle and plastic containers as well as cardboard, paper and newspaper). Collection times are subject to change, but all containers must be ready for pickup by 6 a.m. The MCIA recommends writing your name and address on each container with a permanent marker.

New Recycling Containers

New residents are entitled to one (1) new round commingling recycling container. Replacement/additional recycling containers can be purchased at a cost of $12.90 each for the small and $18.50 for the large. We take checks only made payable to the Township of Plainsboro. Replacement/additional recycling containers can be purchased Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at:
